​Bishop Calvin McNeil has been involved in various capacities of ministry for 43 years.  Bishop McNeil’s experience includes the offices of pastor, evangelist, teacher, and church planter.  In 1981, he started out in an old run down building in Lynchburg, South Carolina nicknamed “The Boozer”.  In 1984 the Lord allowed him to construct a brand new building.  In 1993 they did an addition.  By the year 2000 the church was full to capacity.  The Lord gave him the vision to build again.  In 2005 through his vision Gethsemane Apostolic Church constructed a 32,000 square foot cathedral.  In 2013 they were able to burn a multi-million dollar mortgage in 8 years.  He currently serves as Vice-Presider of the Pentecostal United Church of Christ Apostolic Inc. (PUCCA).  Bishop McNeil is the husband of Elect-Lady Gertie B. McNeil , father of Calvin Levern McNeil & Orin Bradford McNeil, the grandfather of 5, and great-grandfather of 1.
